This sideboard is made of a rare white oak. In order to allow the natural beauty of the wood to show, no stains were used. The unique coloration streaking is from minerals the tree absorbs while growing in the Michigan swamps.
Wenge was used as a border to highlight the top and the drawers and as an accent on the table legs. Both the top and drawers are book-matched from a crotch-cut piece of wood. Mortise and tenon joinery was used in the assembly of this piece.
This table is 5' long by 17" wide by 36" high.
